The life of IT programmers

In one sentence: "People who worked their ass off everyday for years were called bonded labour once upon a time.. Now, they are IT employees"

One of my friends said that a while ago.. Of course, this is an over-statement, but it is quite true in many cases, particularly if you don't put a deliberate effort to break free and put some life into your days.

And by a twist of fate, I am in the same stupid mess now...

But why the heck do we need to work so hard?
What is the morbid compulsion that we push ourselves too far?
and ultimately,
What do we stand to gain- short term and long term? - if at all we do gain anything..

Adiós, señoritas

T hey are leaving. And I doubt if I would see them ever again. Strange is this knot in the heart and the gut. And despite the intensity of feelings and thoughts that would rage inside me, I was hopelessly tongue-tied when in their company.
